Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is looking for a Facilities Supervisor to lead one of two teams in the Facilities group to maintain our 19 buildings and support over 1,100 employees in the Logan area, as well as 3 storage facilities and a hangar at the airport. The selected candidate will lead a team of facilities assistants, technicians, and technologists to support lab operations in a variety of trades, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, wood working, painting, and carpentry. In addition, the facilities team often works closely with engineers to support a variety of program needs.
Required Qualifications:

High school diploma and 15+ years of experience with planning and supporting the coordination and administration of maintenance and facilities tasks, services, and repairs
Advanced understanding of electrical, plumbing, framing, HVAC systems, and controls in both standard design as well as the construction of closed space
Must have ability to read and understand architectural construction drawing, engineering plans, and facility design packages
Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., or other U.S. person

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in personnel supervision, professional development, motivation, and effective communication
Experience in packaging, crating, load management, and transit

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
