The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking a full-time Program Manager with a background in software systems development to support the SDL's Cyber Technologies and Modernization (CTM) Branch within the C4ISR Systems Division. The primary focus of this role is to manage the day-to-day activities for the development of software, firmware, and hardware platforms that leverage Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) principles to deliver interoperable, extensible, high-quality solutions to various Government customers.Additional responsibilities include program execution and oversight, direct customer engagement, and the pursuit of new business development opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leading teams that deliver software and hardware systems through common processes and tools and will collaborate as part of a larger team of engineers, students, and support personnel.
The Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Systems Division delivers mission-critical solutions, specializing in cyber operations, information architecture, strategic deterrence, and ISR. The selected candidate holds delegated responsibility for delivering on contracts. Specific responsibilities include:Customer Engagement: Understands a customer's needs and issues, usually through direct interface, to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
Program Execution: Assembles and directs resources toward execution of the contract and delivers the contracted result
Scope and Trade Management: Trades issues of scope, approach, cost, and schedule to meet program objectives
Team Oversight: Manages the daily activities of an engineering support team
Resource Coordination: Organizes, manages, and staffs a multidisciplinary team, allocating resources and staffing to meet program needs
Schedule and Budget Management: Develops program schedules to meet required deadlines and manages program budgets
Business Development: Pursues new business development opportunities to expand the branch portfolio
Reporting: Prepares and presents formal review materials to technical groups in a stand-up oral presentation format
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor of Science in computer science (CS), electrical engineering (EE), or computer engineering (CE), or an equivalent fieldExperience: Minimum of five years of technical or leadership experience, including demonstrated program management and supervisory experience
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to organize, manage, and staff a multidisciplinary team, develop program schedules, and manage budgets to meet deadlines and customer expectations
Technical Expertise: Proficiency in task management and familiarity with Agile software development tools and practices
Communication Skills: Effective communicator and presenter, skilled in verbal and written communications, with the ability to present formal review materials to technical groups
Work Ethic: Must model a strong work ethic, with up-to-date computer skills and the willingness to travel
Clearance Requirement: Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
• Master of Science (CS, EE, or CE) or Master of Business Administration (MBA)• Active U.S. Government security clearance (Top Secret desirable)
• Experience with Government contracts
• Experience creating engineering documentation

- $107,000 - $200,000
- Salary commensurate on education and relevant experience
