Industrial Security Analyst/Facility Security Officer

Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking applicants for an experienced Industrial Security Professional. The selected candidate will serve as a Facilities Security Officer (FSO) and will administer and oversee a comprehensive security program at our Huntsville, Alabama location.
Responsibilities:
- FSO accountability for NISPOM (32 CFR 117) compliance
- Oversees classified programs, personnel clearances, and facility security requirements
- Potential for Supervisory and Leadership responsibilities across security disciplines (personnel, physical, information, and program security)
- Performs security audits and inspections in accordance with government regulations, reports all findings and corrective actions to leadership
- Evaluates and monitors security program effectiveness, identifies weaknesses, and eliminates or mitigates vulnerabilities
- Supports and maintains visitor control functions, inventory, and security badge issuance
- Prepares DD Forms 254, Contract Security Classification
- Monitors and manages personnel security clearances
- Monitors company and associated personnel for insider threats
- Conducts security briefings, exit interviews, and debriefings
- Investigates and reports security violations
- Serves as the primary liaison with DCSA and other Government counterparts
- Manages classified documents and hardware
- Assists with security training programs
- Assists with classified meeting and conference support
- Responds to security alarms, unsecured spaces, and security-related emergencies around the clock
Required Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Top Secret Clearance with an in scope SSBI and SCI eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree (equivalent and relevant professional-level work experience may be substituted for education requirements)
- Must be able to obtain FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities certification withing the first 6 months of employment
- Must have a working knowledge of 32 CFR 117 (NISPOM), ICD 705, and other Government standards
- Must possess a working knowledge of DISS, NISS, and other industry tools
- Experience working in Personnel Security, Document Control, and Visitor Control
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information
- Strong computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint programs
- Must be customer-orientated with the ability to assume accountability for assignments, work well with others, and be comfortable presenting to and training employees
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willing to travel and/or work extended hours as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of intrusion detection, access control and CCTV systems, record keeping databases
*Salary Range
- $56,500 - $136,500
- Salary commensurate on education and relevant experience
