Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking applicants for an experienced Industrial Security Professional. The selected candidate will oversee the protection of classified information and programs, manage physical security projects, facilitate program security needs, and coach security standards and awareness. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Facilitates end-to-end delivery of security projects, including physical security or integrated systems initiatives to include CCTV, access control, and alarm systems across all facilities
  • Supports project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders for intrusion detection and access control system installations
  • Coordinates and supports maintenance and modification of open storage areas, infrastructure protection, and facility perimeter security systems
  • Ensures projects comply with relevant security standards, regulations, and company policies
  • Coordinates cross-functional teams (IT, facilities, vendors, compliance, etc.) to ensure successful execution of Security projects
  • Develops and modifies security plans; SOPs, CONOPS, security protection plans, and transportation plans
  • Performs security audits and inspections in accordance with Government regulations, reports all findings and corrective actions to leadership
  • Manages classified documents and hardware
  • Assists with security training programs
  • Supports security incident investigations
  • Assists with classified meeting and conference support
  • Responds to security alarms, unsecured spaces, and security-related emergencies around the clock
  • Assists and supports management of security guard team

Required Qualifications:
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree (5 years of relevant professional-level work experience may be substituted for education requirements)
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Experience maintaining project documentation and status updates from initiation through delivery, keeping stakeholders informed at every stage.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with computers and basic software programs (e.g., Microsoft Office)
  • Must be customer-orientated with the ability to assume accountability for assignments, work well with others, and be comfortable presenting to and training employees
  • Ability to multitask in-depth projects, customer service, and urgent repairs and service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Must be willing to travel and/or work extended hours as needed

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance/Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI)
  • Familiarity with 32 CFR 117 (NISPOM), ICD 705, DoD 5200.01, UL2050 and other industry and Government instructions and operating within industrial security environments
  • Working knowledge of intrusion detection, access control and CCTV systems, record keeping databases
  • Working knowledge of DISS and other Intelligence Community databases

*Salary Range
  • $52,000 - $137,000
    • Salary commensurate on education and relevant experience
