We are seeking a mid-level Systems Engineer to join our C4ISR Systems Division, within the Cyber Technologies and Modernization (CTM) branch, and support our Re-Engineering, System Engineering, and Test (RESET) services. This position is based in North Logan, Utah, and offers the opportunity to work alongside a talented team developing and advancing mission-critical systems.

The Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Systems Division delivers mission-critical solutions, specializing in cyber operations, information architecture, strategic deterrence, and ISR. Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads major design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR) and helps to shape system direction and technical decisions
  • Develops and manages system requirements, ensuring clear flow‑down, traceability, and high‑quality engineering documentation
  • Coordinates cross‑discipline engineering across software, hardware, electrical, mechanical, and other teams to drive cohesive system design and verification
  • Defines and maintains system interfaces so teams stay aligned and integration runs smoothly
  • Owns the Systems Engineering Management Plan (SEMP) and supports configuration management to keep the program technically organized and controlled
  • Identifies and manages risks and opportunities that influence system performance, schedule, and mission success
  • Supports technical planning and execution for design, integration, and formal testing activities across the program lifecycle
  • Performs systems analysis to evaluate design options, break down complex problems, and guide engineering decisions
  • Develops mission CONOPS and provide technical insight and recommendations to the Program Manager

Required Qualifications:
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or related), and 10-15 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree and 8-13 years of relevant experience, or a PhD and 4-9 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency with the systems engineering V‑Model including decomposition, integration, verification, and validation
  • Experience developing and decomposing requirements including definition, flow‑down, implementation, and traceability
  • Hands‑on experience with requirements verification using test, analysis, demonstration, and inspection
  • Broad interdisciplinary engineering knowledge across electrical, mechanical, software, and firmware domains
  • Familiarity with military and aerospace standards including environmental qualification (MIL‑STD‑810) and EMI/EMC compliance (MIL‑STD‑461)
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to assess technical, cost, and schedule risks
  • Ability to lead and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary technical teams during proposal, design, and execution of small‑ to mid‑sized programs, including mentoring junior engineers
  • Ability to present complex technical concepts clearly and confidently to internal and external customers, including handling challenging questions with composure and expertise
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and a system‑level perspective

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Technical degree in electrical or computer engineering or a closely related field
  • Hands‑on experience with circuit card design and manufacturing including schematic capture, layout, and production support
  • Experience designing ruggedized assemblies with 5+ years in electrical and/or mechanical development for harsh environments
  • Experience supporting fielded military systems including troubleshooting, sustainment, and lifecycle considerations
  • Practical experience qualifying and certifying hardware to military environmental and EMI/EMC standards (MIL‑STD‑810 and MIL‑STD‑461)
  • Familiarity with advanced systems engineering tools like requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS or Jama) or MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo with SysML)

*Salary Range 
  • $120,000 - $177,000
    • Salary commensurate based on education and experience
