Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking to immediately hire a student employee to assist with stockroom responsibilities.
SDL supports a variety of missions, including NASA’s vision to reveal the unknown for the benefit of humankind and the Department of Defense’s aim to protect our Nation on the ground, in the air, and in space. Our sensors, satellites, software systems, and science and engineering play an essential role in some important missions you’ve heard of, and others that you haven’t. Key Responsibilities:
- Takes weekly inventory of self-serve stock
- Responsible for receiving of product and storage
- Assists engineers and staff in pulling parts
- Assists in the closeout process of programs
- Must be a current Utah State University student with at least one year remaining in school
- Must be able and willing to work 15-20 hours per week during semesters and up to 40 hours per week during summer
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., or other U.S. person
- Must be able and willing to lift up to 40 pounds to complete position-related duties
Student Scholar Program: SDL provides unique opportunities for student employees to develop real-world experience and knowledge beyond the classroom through our Student Scholar Program. This program offers monthly technical workshops, outreach activities, and academic stipends to eligible student employees.
