Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking a Cost Analyst to support proposal cost estimating and provide financial tracking, analysis, reporting, and forecasting for internal projects and externally funded programs.
As a research and development (R&D) organization, SDL supports programs focused on developing new and innovative technologies. While programs may share certain characteristics, each is unique and requires a thorough assessment of the resources, costs, and schedules necessary to meet Statement of Work (SOW), contractual, and internal project requirements.

Working collaboratively with program managers, engineers, schedulers, contract administrators, and other team members, the selected candidate will translate program resource requirements and schedules into comprehensive budgets and detailed proposal cost estimates. For awarded programs, the selected candidate will provide ongoing financial tracking, analysis, reporting, and forecasting to support effective program planning and execution.

Required Qualifications:

  • 0-10 years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field
  • General accounting skills and up-to-date computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Must be detail oriented and proactive
  • Superior organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly with personnel of varying technical and professional levels
  • Ability to proactively integrate within various teams, taking ownership of role responsibilities while effectively collaborating with other team members in their respective roles
  • Must be able to maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate a deadline-driven workload
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., or other U.S. person
*Salary Range
  • $47,000 - $90,000
    • Salary commensurate on education and relevant experience
