Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking a student to assist in thermal vacuum and space simulation activities as an Engineering Assistant. The selected candidate will play a critical role in helping manage thermal vacuum operations, chamber cleanliness and performance tasks, and report generation.

Required Qualifications:

Must be a Utah State University student majoring in science or engineering
Must have at least one year of school remaining
Must be able to work 15-20 hours per week during semesters and 30-40 hours per week during the summer
Must be self-motivated with the ability to follow directions
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work efficiently in a time sensitive environment while managing multiple tasks and projects
Demonstrated curiosity
Must be an active learner
General background in math and physics
Experience working in a laboratory setting using PPE and following procedures
Experience with and proficiency using Excel to generate graphs and manipulate data
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Must have the ability to work effectively independently
Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., or other U.S. person

Sophomore level or higher
